STAR WARS ROLE PLAY

Hey guys, I recently got Star Wars: KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) and it revitalized my love for Star Wars. It gave me an idea earlier today: we should have Star Wars roleplay on EU. Basically there would be 2 sides: Sith and the Jedi (you must see the Star Wars films to understand.) There are bonuses and down sides to each side so you must choose wisely. I have spoken with Requin and he agreed to help start the roleplay so for now I am the Jedi Leader and Requin is the Sith Leader. Here is an explanation of the Jedi:

-Part of being a Jedi is caring for others. You are supposed to be selfless and help others to survive. Though you are not supposed to get attached to possessions and other people (getting married and such) you are supposed to love all. The Jedi are not just peace-makers they are ensuring that others can live safe lives and create a better society. They depend on the force for their fighting skills and strength. They follow the Jedi order and listen to the Jedi council. The Jedi Council is the leaders of the Jedi Order (Jedi masters) and they settle issues in a democratic fashion. They support democracy and use their powers for good. Though they are not agressive they are sworn enemies of the Sith, who tend to be quite agressive. They preserve peace and a civilized society in which matters can be settled without the use of violence. If needed they will defend the weak and use violence to end violence (like fighting fire with fire).

Sorry if my explanation is a little bit off but that is my view of the Jedi. Requin will follow up with an explanation of the Sith.

Just a few notes:
-No conversions will be attempted until the roleplay has become popular.
-The fighting that occurs between the Jedi and the Sith on EU is for fun, do not let roleplay disrupt friendships or clans please!
-Most important rule: HAVE FUN! ;D

The Sith

Many have accused the Sith of being evil. However, I am here to tell you that that is not the case. "Evil" is an abstract word made by those in ignorance of our values.

Peace is a lie

Sith Values

• We beleive that what we do is for the betterment of mankind, whether broadly or individually. This is the first precept of the Sith
  
• The Jedi would have you beleive that the way to better the galaxy is to help the poor. We ask this question - How do the poor help the betterment of the galaxy? The human race have come to where it is by EVOLUTION. The earliest cavemen decided who lived or died because those who were smart enough to grow their own food prosperred. Similarly, those who are weak should not be helped, and if someone is shown to be weak, he or she is not right for a position. Why? because this is the way of nature, and how the human race has evolved.
  
• The strong will survive. It's that simple
  
• Our force powers come from our emotions and feelings, rather than selflessness of the Jedi. Why? There is simply MORE POWER in the emotions and feelings. Think about it, how many decisions have you made based on your gut instinct or emotions or preferance than actual logic? The world does not work in a logical way!
  
• The jedi abhor love and relationships because they think it leads to the "dark" side. This is simply not the reality. Love is an intricate part of humanity. Without it, you would not be born!
  
• The jedi are hippocritical! First, they say help all those in need, and yet on COUNTLESS occasions they shy away from helping in wars because of a precept of "nonviolence". Let me tell you one thing. Violence is the way the world works. The earlist man had a spear in its ribcages. Consider two trees in the woods. One is large and magestic, the other is small and gnarly. Which one is beautiful? Exactly, the large one. You instinctivly chose the killer, whose roots choke the smaller tree. The larger tree will survive, because it is STRONGER. If it had helped the small tree instead of choking it, the small tree would have reproduced, and soon the entire forest would have trees with inferior roots.
  
• The sith are accused by the Jedi of being only selfish and not selfless. It may suprise you to tell you that we do not deny it. However, they assume that selflessness is the only way. However, the most powerful nation in the world has pricipals similar to the sith. If everyone works for himself, more gets done, and the better people win and reproduce. USSR and US were at a cold war for decaades! Who won? not communistic russia who wanted to make everyone equal. What happened? the social stucture collapsed because inferiiority was allowed to spread.

1.He was a Sith lord but i made a list of 15 MOST POWERFUL SITH LORDS EVER.
2.Darth Maul and Darth Vader were sith lords and they were aprentices not underlings of sidious (aka emperor). The title of a Sith lord is granted to the person who is fully trained and capable to kill a Jedy Master witch was proven by Vader and Maul (but to kill a jedi isnt a term). And Darth Vader is the most powerful Lord of the Sith that lived and will live. May the Dark Side of the force be with you.

BTW Plz start posting applications for either side if you are interested. (We need members on both sides, if everyone is a Sith, or all jedi, then it kills the roleplay. So please, everyone, consider your choices.)

And whatever you people say Luke and Darth Vader are the coolest. You just can't top them. Simple ;D

yay good idea but ibelieve smthng missing...
if u played kotor2 (Sith Lords i guess...) there is also a neutral side which i like the idea most they r not so pathetic (sry he||ion) as discribed jedis nor hungary 4 power like those insane siths (and as my opinion real jedis r like this but movies , games and ur description made me lost in this) and as being a druid like person i would prefer this hehe but if u say NO no neutrals yay then i would chose the jedi side which is slightly more close 2 me then sith
and 1 more thing u can add 2 jedis the diferences like guardian, consular and sentinel that we can choose

Are those in order? no wayz! Darth Revan PWNZ darth maul. He's one of the only ones who found out the true orgins and values of the Sith

@mini Requin and I agreed that jedi/sith chars do not have to be tagged though it would be nice if you did (if you have room for the char). EVERYONE: PLEASE DO NOT USE FANG CHARACTERS FOR THE ROLEPLAY!

Goklayeh There is no middle ground. Sith or Jedi.

@everyone else I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about with all of the dark lords and stuff. I know sidious, malak, revan, vader and maul.

Keep in mind this is the first topic for signups, the actual RP will start when we get peeps in.

I think we should ALL set ONE RP char. You dont have to make a tagged char, just use an existing non-tagged char. For instance-I will use "Betafor" if we bring this to FL, but i cannot use -=|FANG|=-RequinBetafor.

So darth, could you please say what char will be ur RP char so i con post in parenthasese.

Just a quick note, I updated the Jedi Rank system a bit and I will probably use a different name than He||ion for my Jedi char. I will let everyone know the name once I have decided on one.
