As some of you know I've been running a separate gaming community for a number of years now - BNS Outlaws. No shameless plugs or links just saying is all.

I've been chatting with Jester about getting the EU server resurrected. Does that please anyone here?? Yeah I thought so
Just to let you all know I'm in the process of acquiring server space to run it, which will be just a few days. If anyone needs the client mod I'll provide links soon to download them.
We'll need admins as well so I'll leave it with the -=|FANG|=- council to prepare a list

Of course, if you don't want EU back....... just say and I'll launch it anyway


By the way, have any of you bought an SC package?
Has anyone created the FANG organisation yet?
BNS has and is looking to forge an alliance with FANG before the game goes live. Alliances and Orgs will be taken into the persistent universe when it does.

Just a quick update on events surrounding the EU server.
The original server provider has fallen flat on his promise. This is bad news, but not catastrophic. We are in the process of securing another server (waiting on our hard drive being delivered and installed.) This is only going to set us back a couple of days. Hopefully, all things going as expected, we should have the EU server live before the coming weekend. Whatever happens, nothing will stop the resurrection.

I'll find another way if necessary.
We already have a dual Xeon 8 core Linux server but, had it not been for the annoying server/VMware crash conflicts, EU would have been up and running even before I announced earlier.

EDIT: Okay a couple of days turned out to be too optimistic. Postal problems have delayed proceedings. It's now back in the mail and should get to its destination this time. I'll keep everyone up to date on changes as they happen.

We've run tests on the EU server (as far as my home connection will allow anyway.) So far this proves the server mod works and everything seems ok as far as running it is concerend. I was also able to get my IP on the list server and advertise as "Eagle Utopia RESURRECTING". There are zero reasons why it won't work immediately from launch on new server.
